Something I’ve been thinking about lately

Pause for a second

Have you ever noticed how fast your mind can change your whole mood? Nothing actually happened. One thought shows up and suddenly everything feels off.

Not every thought is true

I’ve had to learn this. Just because a thought pops up doesn’t mean it’s true. Some thoughts come from fear. Some come from old patterns. Some come from things you’ve repeated for years. If you don’t slow down and look at them, they start running everything.

What’s helped me

I pause. When a thought feels heavy, I don’t run with it anymore. I ask myself: Is this helping me or holding me back?

A lot of the time, it’s holding me back.

You don’t have to follow every thought

The thought might still be there. You still have a choice. You don’t have to believe it. You don’t have to build a whole story around it. You can notice it and choose something different.
